PHOENIX BUSINESS PARK
2014 - PRESENT (COMPLETED)
Project Team: Philip Stejskal, Yang Yang Lee

Builder: Century Park Construction
A warehouse for a landscape supply company, "The Landscape Guys", specialising in artificial turf and composite timber decking and battens.
As an employer who values his staff, our client wanted to provide a break-out space to offer employees a reprieve from the industrial environment of the business park.
Budget constraints led us to the concept of the 'thick facade', a device that wraps a number of functions into one, thereby allowing us to combine respective budgets into a single design element for greater effect. Canopy, signage and staff break-out terrace occupy this 'thickness', giving the otherwise basic tilt-up box a distinctive street presence that is more than just ornament.
