At PHILIP STEJSKAL ARCHITECTURE, we understand that sometimes the best way forward is one step at a time. In recognition of this, we've developed a series of short and sharp workshops designed to help people navigate through the early stages of a project. These workshops are offered in digital format via Zoom or in person around a table.

BRIEF WRITING: 2-HOUR
A two-hour workshop designed to help you unpack and systematise your thoughts relating to a renovation or new home project. We use the Briefing Guidebook we developed in 2018 as the framework for our discussion. You will leave the workshop with a clarity about your task ahead, which will be to generate a detailed and comprehensive project brief for your architect or designer. CONCEPT DESIGN: 2-HOUR
A workshop designed to take your developed brief into the concept design phase through interactive discussion, sharing of precedents and sketching. The aim is to explore what opportunities may exist in the specifics of the site, the existing building (in the case of a renovation) or the wider context. We will chat, share, sketch and reflect during this session, with the take-away being a series of targeted ideas for further consideration and exploration. Tailored to enable more organic and unconstrained explorations, followed by more detailed summaries. They are stand alone and do not require you to have completed the 2-hr workshops prior.

A workshop that is tailored to your particular situation. We ask you to submit images, drawings, thoughts via email in the lead-up to the workshop. We will spend time familiarising ourselves with the information, and put together a tailored agenda. We will be in touch with the agenda and a proposed schedule prior to the workshop, with an estimate of how long we believe it will take, and a confirmed cost based on hourly rates. CONCEPT DESIGN: TAILORED
An unconstrained concept design workshop that leaves you with more. We ask you to submit your completed project brief ahead of the workshop. We will spend time familiarising ourselves with your brief and the site (remotely), and put together a tailored agenda. We will then get in touch with a proposed schedule prior to the workshop, containing an estimate of how long we believe it will take, and a confirmed cost based on hourly rates. The workshop will seek to facilitate an organic and extensive exploration, open dialogue and review of multiple concept directions. Critically, it will leave you with a drawn record of the ideas explored, prepared post-workshop. They are not resolved designs, rather, generous pointers in the right direction; concise illustrated strategies.
